The openMDM dev team has finished its most recent sprint. The internal release 0.8 of Eclipse mdmbl is now available for download.
During the sprint the team has elected Florian Schmidt and Ganesh Deshvini as new committers to join the development team. Angelika Wittek was elected to serve as the new project lead.

Dr. Dietmar Rapf from Atos/Germany presented openMDM at the Automotive Testing Expo Stuttgart event.
An interesting talk looking back in history, explaing the importance and challenges that lie in test data management and the need for a common platform like openMDM.

The openMDM General Assembly Meeting was held in Stuttgart - Weilimdorf on July 25, 2017.
The packed schedule included the report from departing Steering Committee chair Sven Wittig summarizing the working group's past year, elections for the 2017/2018 steering committee as well as the architecture and quality committee and a report from the Eclipse mdmbl project. In addition, member companies presented their views and thoughts on the current achievements as well as future directions.
The new steering committee consists of representatives from Audi, BMW, Daimler, Mueller-BBM VAS and Siemens as well as the elected representatives Tata motors, HighQSoft, Canoo and Itemis. The full list of committee represetatives and member companies is available on the openMDM Wiki Pages.

Development work has begun in the Eclipse mdmbl Version 0.7 sprint. Four developers from the openMDM working group have been assigned to the sprint which will run until July 21st. You can follow the team's design decisions on the mdmbl-dev mailing list and find out more about the new features on Eclipse Bugzilla. Angelika Wittek has joined the openMDM Eclipse Working group just recently as the Toolkit Manager. Her responsibilities are the representation of the interests of the openMDM Steering Committee as the product owner of the openMDM toolkit. She will work with the developers in the related Eclipse projects as well as the Architecture Committee and the Quality Committee.
Her immediate activities are targeted towards overseeing the development activities in the related Eclipse projects, leading towards a release 1.0 of the openMDM toolkit.
On Wednesday 21, 2017 Dr. dietmar Rapf of science + computing AG will present the openMDM roadmap at the openMDM at the Automotive Testing 2017 Open Technology Forum ins Stuttgart.
Dr. Rapf, one of the founding members of the openMDM working group and member of the steering committee will discuss vision, mission, current status and the future roadmap of the openMDM working group and the related Eclipse projects.

On Feb. 19. Dr. Dietmar Rapf, science + computing ag presented at the Annual Advanced Automotive Diagnostics Systems Summit  in Stuttgart the motivation of OEMs for implementing a measured data management system as an open source software. He depicted the history and the functionalities of ASAM ODS and openMDM®, the motivation for relaunching openMDM® in the context of an eclipse working group and gave an overview on the current status.
